Block printing and letterpress are hands-on processes that rely on hand-carved linoleum blocks and vintage wood type to create multiples. Each impression carries small variations in pressure, ink coverage, and alignment, which are part of the craft and make every print just a little bit one of a kind.
My Name is Chris. I grew up in a small town in the south of France, where most of my free time went into the local movie theater or hanging around with friends in the DIY punk scene. I played in bands, toured a bit, organized shows, and like a lot of people in that world, started designing out of necessity because we needed posters, album covers, and flyers, so I taught myself how to make them.
That mix of music, film, and handmade design stuck with me. Over time I became obsessed with print, screen printing, letterpress, linocut, wood printing, anything that leaves an impression you can feel. I like the imperfections, the textures, the process itself as much as the final result.
These days, I split my time between design work and printmaking, still guided by the same DIY energy that got me started. What you’ll find here is a mix of all of that, film-inspired prints, handmade textures, and small experiments that keep me learning.
